Worlds of Fun Code of Conduct
Worlds of Fun is committed to Protecting the Fun by providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all guests. To help us fulfill our commitment, we ask that you honor this Code of Conduct.
On Halloween Haunt operating days, the following policies apply:
Halloween Haunt Chaperone Policy
This policy will be in effect from open to close on all Halloween Haunt operating days.
- All guests age 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to or remain in the park.
- The policy will be in effect during all operating hours, on HAUNT operating days.
- The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth upon entry.
- One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than Five (5) guests age 17 or younger per day.
- In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry and remain with the party for the duration of their stay.
- Guests 18 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government-issued photo identification (Driver's license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park.
- Guests age 17 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection.
- This chaperone requirement applies to all Worlds of Fun ticket and season passholders.
Halloween Haunt Bag Policy
- After 6:00 PM, all bags must be no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”, regardless of material (clear or opaque).
- Each guest is permitted to bring only one bag into the park after 6:00 PM.
- All bags are subject to x-ray inspection and search before entry.
- This policy applies to all bag types, including backpacks, purses, diaper bags, and camera bags.
Halloween Haunt Code of Conduct
The following behaviors are not permitted at Worlds of Fun:
- Carrying firearms, ammunition, knives, self-defense or restraining devices (e.g., pepper spray, mace) and weapons of any kind and any other prohibited item. Worlds of Fun reserves the right to prohibit any items at their discretion
- Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects
- Unsolicited photography or video recording that disrupts a guest’s experience or interferes with park operations
- Unruly or disruptive behavior that interferes with guests’ enjoyment of the park including running, the incitement of running, and blocking midways and exits
- Fighting or physical aggression of any kind, including verbal and physical assaults
- Acts or behavior that park management determines is a safety concern or that interrupts park operations or guests’ experience
- Harassing/threatening behavior, sexual misconduct or lewd behavior including inappropriate interaction with park guests or associates
- Offensive language or gestures
- Clothing with offensive language, obscene gestures/graphics, or nudity or clothing that does not sufficiently cover undergarments. Face coverings that conceal identity. (This policy does not apply to masks meant to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and other germs.)
- Intoxication or substance impairment that results in irresponsible behavior
- Smoking/Vaping is only permitted in designated smoking areas
- Entering restricted areas including but not limited to ride Danger Zones and behind-the-scenes areas
- Line Breaking- includes leaving and re-entering a line for any reason or place holding in line
- Theft of any kind
- Selling park tickets or soliciting and distributing literature not sponsored by the park
- Refusing to follow verbal or printed instructions or to cooperate with park personnel or security
- Liquid bottles, thermoses or cups must be empty upon arrival
Halloween Haunt Themed Attire and Face Make Up Policy
Family-oriented themed outfits/attire are permitted. Attire must not represent or resemble any official Park character, disrupt regular company operations, or potentially harm another guest or associate. Attire and accessories must meet Code of Conduct dress requirements and may not be offensive or violent and may not disrupt the general safety of guests or associates. Guests wearing character themed outfits may not sign autographs for other guests or represent themselves as a park associate. Costumes that conceal identity are prohibited. Rides and attractions may also have additional restrictions on dress attire.
During HAUNT operations, guests age 12 and older are prohibited from wearing costumes, face paint, masks, or anything that conceals identity or causes confusion in identifying professional scare actors.
Halloween Haunt Re-Entry Policy
No Re-Entry will be allowed beginning at 6:00 PM, nightly, during HAUNT operations.
On Non-Halloween Haunt operating days, the following policies apply:
Chaperone Policy
This policy will be in effect at the following times:
- Sunday through Thursday: 2PM to Close
- Fridays & Saturdays: Open to Close
- All Holidays: Open to Close
We are committed to keeping the park a place where families and friends come together to enjoy safe, one-of-a-kind experiences and immersive entertainment in a positive atmosphere. Therefore, this Chaperone Policy is now in effect. Please read carefully as we have made some changes.
- All guests ages 16 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to or remain in the park.
- The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry.
- One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than six (6) guests ages 16 or younger per day.
- Guests ages 16 years old, or younger, who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone will be subject to ejection.
- In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain in the park and be available by phone and in person for the duration of their stay.
- Guests 17 years of age or older should be prepared to present a valid government-issued photo identification (Driver’s license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guest may be denied entry into the park.
- This chaperone requirement applies to all Enchanted Parks and Worlds of Fun ticket, Season Pass and Membership holders.
We believe these changes will help ensure that Worlds of Fun continues to have a positive atmosphere where generations of families and friends can gather for a day of safe fun and good food. Millions of guests have counted on us for exactly that, and we will continue to deliver on that promise for generations to come.

Rides and attractions may also have additional restrictions on dress attire. Themed outfits/attire may be prohibited during evening Halloween events.

Children/Teens - Notice to Parents & Guardians
Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of their minor children. Appropriate behavior and supervision are the responsibility of the parent/guardian and is always expected. In addition to our chaperone policy, we strongly recommend that minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. The park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors. Parents/guardians may be held legally liable for all acts of the children under their care.
Personal Conduct
Conduct deemed by Worlds of Fun to be inappropriate for the peace and good order of the park, guests, or associates, and which may adversely affect the safety of others is not permitted. Anyone who violates the Code of Conduct may be subject to ejection without refund.
Guests are encouraged to report any violations of the Guest Code of Conduct or suspicious activity to the nearest Worlds of Fun associate, Security associate, or to call (816) 303-5090.
Worlds of Fun reserves the right to revise or modify this Code of Conduct with or without notice.
Notice: Worlds of Fun Security personnel utilize surveillance cameras and body worn cameras as part of their overall security program.
Why are you implementing this policy?
A safe, family-friendly atmosphere of Worlds of Fun is the type of experience our guests expect and deserve. In recent years, there have been increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior across our industry and at other major entertainment venues. This policy is being put in place to ensure that all guests have the best time ever and leave happy and eager to visit again.
I’m coming with a pre-scheduled company event or school group, does this policy apply?
A chaperone policy still applies to prescheduled company events and school groups. If you purchased tickets through our Group Sales department and have questions, please contact your Group Sales representative.
Does the chaperone need to always stay with the group?
Chaperones must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.
One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than six (6) guests ages 16 or younger per day.
What happens if guests 16 years old or younger do not have a chaperone?
They will not be permitted to enter or remain in the park during all operating hours without a chaperone who is at least 21 years old and has a valid government-issued photo ID.

Can I show a picture of my photo ID?
Chaperones must present a valid government-issued photo ID with date of birth. Pictures of IDs are not accepted.
